"I want clients to have the opportunity to gain insight, discover strengths and obstacles, and gain empowerment."
My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I also integrate other approaches such as Attachment theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic theory.
However, I integrate other approaches such as Psychodynamic theory and Family Systems. At times, therapy will be directed towards learning to cope and successfully manage chronic conditions such as depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. Other times therapy may be to gain personal growth, healthier relationships, and/or self-awareness. Many times clients are in need of support and guidance during various life transitions/stressors such as dating, marriage, divorce, or pregnancy.
